The easiest way to get to 350-375 rwhp
I have a 94 mustang gt aode that is all stock except for an h pipe, flowmasters, and a K&N. It has 120,000 miles on it. What is the easiest, cheapest, and most reliable way to get 350-375 rwhp? I do not have a lot of money, and this car is my daily driver, but I do want something that is going to spank any ricer that pulls up next to me.

There is no cheap and easy way to get 375 RWHP that will be reliable on a 120,000 mile car. You could put nitrous on it, but when you blow the motor, you have cost yourself a lot of dough. Besides, who wants to keep refilling a bottle. All you need is a good set of 70/30 struts (more streetable than 90/10s). You also need to upgrade your ring and pinion to at least 3.73. Add some good lower control arms to the mix and you'd be surprised what your car will do. All that will cost you about $5-600. You're looking at twice that much if you don't do any of the work yourself. BTW, with just the gear change, you'll be smoking most of the ricers that pull up to next to you.
To me, a supercharger sounds like what you really want, but you're looking at $3000 for that. |
