Re: con rod removal
Take 'em to a local shop and have them pressed out properly so that you don't damage the rods. Any engine shop should have the right tools to press them off quickly.

A shop will do it for $20 or so.

nextquestion; edelbrk manifold destructions say 15lbs on the tork head instructions say 25 lbs tork for the manifold. i was always under the impression even clamp was more important. your xp appreciated. |
Re: con rod removal
12-15 foot-lbs. Take your time an work your way up in 6 to 8 circles from the inside working out. Once you've gotten them even, then take one final round to get 15 ft-lbs.

Re: con rod removal
thanks, i followed edelbrocks instructions to the letter this time. i just didnt like the 2 different stories. i also thought 15 lbs was a little light. but then again, 736.$ ago i thought i had it right. we'll see this time...
