Battery Relocation....Questions

Hello,
I would like to move the battery to the trunk, I bought the kit but the instructions are not very clear as to where the Neg. cable goes ( it is only 6' long so it can not go to the block) The pos cable is long enough to go to the solenoid. also where is a good place to cut the hole in the trunk?

Frame.

Make sure you sand the crap away and use copper washers.

Battery goes in the right side of trunk to offset the driver weight. Drill your hole there, be real careful of the tank.

Make sure you have a vent tube. Unless your running something like a sealed battery.

Search the archives on here for relocating the battery. The subject has been brought up several times before.

You may have to buy a larger alternator as well... at least my friend did. He couldn't get the battery to charge right.

Worst mod ever.

I relocated mine just to move it back the next day. I hated it.

we're bringing an 88GT rolling chassis back to life, and it's got the battery relocated to the back. Man it really opens up the engine compartment with no battery and we've got a tobular K-frame as well!

Haven't seen any issues yet with the battery in the rear.

Why...what's wrong with that mod?
