Replacing That Old Oil Dip Stick

HI GUYS

I HAVE A '66 MUSTANG 289CID CONVERT.
I BOUGHT A NICE LOOKING RACING OIL DIP STICK WITH ITS HOUSING OF COURSE.

I WANT TO REPLACE THE OL' ONE. BUT I NOT SURE JUST HOW TO
DO THAT

I HAVE TO REPLACE THE HOLDER AND THE DIP STICK ITSELF. THE WHOLE COMPLETE PACKAGE.

SOME TELL ME THAT THE OLD DIP STICK IS JUST SLAMED IN THERE, LIKE METAL TO METAL. SOME SAY ITS THREADED IN.

NOW, I'M IN YOUR HANDS GUYS.

WHEN I LOOK DOWN IN THAT BLACK HOLE WHERE TO DIP STICK IS, ALL I SEE IS SOMETHING LIKE A BLACK RUBBER GROUMET.

YOU TELL ME. I SPRAY THE AREA SERVERAL TIMES WITH 'CREEP'
TO LOOSEN WHATEVER IS THERE.

O.K. GUYS AGAIN I'M IN YOUR HANDS. TELL ME, SHOW ME OF HOW TOO GET RID OF THE OL' OIL DIP STICK PLEASE

THANK YOU EVERYONE
GOD BLESS ALL YOU GUYS/GALS :)

Since you already know that the dipstick is bolted on, take the bolt out... spray the base with a penetrating oil and VERY CAREFULLY wiggle and pull upward... Respray and respray... It is a tight fit, and if you get too aggressive, you may break the tube. If you do that, you are looking at removing the timing cover and drilling it out.

Not threaded... but it will be a pain to get out.
