1996 F250 5.8L Starting Problems
I have a 1996 F250 5.8L Truck. Lately, I've begun to have a problem when starting the truck after driving it for a while, it would start to sputter and not catch until after holding the gas pedal down, or letting it work itself out usually after 20 seconds or so. It would also emit a gas smell from the vent behind the cab. It is worse on hotter days but does it all the time. I've replaced the IAC and Fuel pressure Regulator today to no avail. What am I missing???

Another thing that can cause your truck to run rich is a bad mass air flow sensor (changes Baro reading to PCM), i would get a fuel pressure gauge and test pressure - maybe a fuel line is kinked and the pump is deadheaded. Is your air filter/intake tract clogged?
