How do you put on the Trunk Springs?
 

Well...the springs (to keep the trunk up...theyre rods bent to a certain point) and they seem to never get to fit....any suggestions???

They are a real PIA to install. We cringe at the shop everytime we have to install some.

Several of the tech's use different methods. Some use a longer box wrench that he uses for leverage to twist it down. One other guy uses a piece of pipe.

They get the small end in and then curse, push curse somemore and sweat alot to bend the longer one down to the notches.

All I can tell you is "BE CAREFULL", you can cut yourself real good around all that virgin sheet metal back there under the package tray.
Wear gloves, you'll be glad you did.
