My first Mustang
Hey folks,
I finally got a chance to buy by friends dad's mustang after years of asking. Unfortunately, it's been sitting in their drive way for the better part of a decade, unused. Looking for a reputable mechanic in the Glendale, CA area to get it up and running. I plan to restore the rest myself, but tearing down and rebuilding the engine, drive train, suspension etc are more that I want to tackle. Any suggestions? Chris |
Re: My first Mustang

Re: My first Mustang
Get a list of what needs done... get a target price for the completion of that list...
Then double it. |

Re: My first Mustang
I know a guy in upland that does really good engine work. He put my 428 short block together. He is very helpful also. Doesn't do the restoration thing more of a performance shop.

I thought they were joking... don't think that I've ever had a project that didn't prove it true, though. :D |
Re: My first Mustang
But hey, don't look at it like we are saying don't do it!!! These guys on here talked me out of selling my 65 project a few months ago and now it is almost done!! If you are really into it and you enjoy it, cost is worth it!
