My first Mustang

Hey folks,

I finally got a chance to buy by friends dad's mustang after years of asking. Unfortunately, it's been sitting in their drive way for the better part of a decade, unused. Looking for a reputable mechanic in the Glendale, CA area to get it up and running. I plan to restore the rest myself, but tearing down and rebuilding the engine, drive train, suspension etc are more that I want to tackle. Any suggestions?

Chris

Get a list of what needs done... get a target price for the completion of that list...

Then double it.

I know a guy in upland that does really good engine work. He put my 428 short block together. He is very helpful also. Doesn't do the restoration thing more of a performance shop.

I thought they were joking... don't think that I've ever had a project that didn't prove it true, though.

But hey, don't look at it like we are saying don't do it!!! These guys on here talked me out of selling my 65 project a few months ago and now it is almost done!! If you are really into it and you enjoy it, cost is worth it!
