Roller rockers hitting valve covers like crazy.
I have an 87 GT convertible and I had a fresh 302 installed early last year. The rockers weren't hitting then, but as soon as I took my car out of storage this year, after the winter blew over I heard some heavy hitting from the engine bay. I have TFS twisted wedge heads with 1.72 rockers and stock valve covers. Is it possible that the rockers came loose? Do I need bigger valve covers? Is this hurting my engine or performance of the car? Will this eventually damage the car and is it a problem that has to be dealt with right away? Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Carl

I had the same problem. You need to take off the covers and machine the inside under where the oil sprout it. Make sure that you have the "correct" set of covers also.

STANG_ROTY- Is it a complicated job to do and how long does it take to repair?

Real easy. My engine builder did it very quickly. Piece of cake as long as you know how to use the tool properly.
