5 lug conversion questions?

4 questions on 5 lug conversion
1) What vehicles can I get 28 spline axles that fit so I can use my stock diff?
2) I know that people use some sort of ranger axles, so i assume they use ranger drums, will they fit my stock break shoe setup or does that all need changed
3) I have heard you can use Mark 7 rotors, is that direct bolton with no modification, and if i were going to use the front spindles from a 94-up mustang do they need to be off a GT, or will V6 spindles work.
4) Where could i get the spindles and how much do they cost usually?

V6 spindles will work as well. You can buy them new for a round $125 each or Mustang Parts Specialties sells the kit for $399. This is fro front only. I'm not sure exactly what year you need from the ranger, I went with 31 spline mosers with an Eaton posi. Good luck.

Re: 5 lug conversion questions?

Here's how I did it.

Rear axles? Strange Engineering.

Front? Ranger rotors. ;) Need to take approx. .050" off of the outside diameter to clear the caliper brackets. Any good machine shop can do that for a song and a dance.

Now here's where it gets tricky, cuz I'm gettin old and my memory is leavin me. When ya put the ranger rotors on the Stang spindles, you have to use 1 Stang bearing, and 1 Ranger bearing. This is where the problem is. I don't remember which is which. I THINK, I reiterate, THINK Stang innner, Ranger outer. Also have to use dust caps off of the Ranger.
