purchasing gt-40 intake

what do you guys think an upper and lower gt-40 intake should go for and what is the best place to find one? I can't seem to find any off explorers in the yards, as i am sure they know they are valuable.
Are there any Mustang sites you guys use to buy and sell parts on?
any input is appreciated

thanks

i think the cobra is like 399 or so from summit or anywhere else, the gt-040 is like over 5 bills i think, (im canadian so our prices are diff) either will do the job as mentioned before, just depends id the tubular look si worth $200 more to you???

the cobra is probably the best priced piece you can get, and can be extrude hone ported later if thats your thing

Used Cobras go for $250-300 and you see Explorers go for $150-200 on ebay for whole intakes. new GT40 intakes are $600 - used go for ~$400 most of the time. If you take your time and look diligently, you can usually score a good deal.

+1 on the Explorer. Go for the GT-40 for the look factor.

ok, so i found a "cobra replica" for $306.00. it has the upper/lower and the gaskets to match. do you guys know if the air flow on these "replicas" is the same and does this sound like it is worth persuing?

I haven't seen any testing yet, but the ones I've ported are not all that different in cross section.

You guys forgot the tubular gt-40 would be lighter.

I love my explorer intake though, the cobra is probaly worth the money.
