Urgent, please help...

ok, one of the bolt holes that holds the fan, pulley, and spacer on my water pump is stripped. obviously, i cant just go with the three of the four bolts holding the fan on and i really need to get her up and running asap! does anyone know if ill be able to retap the hole without removing the water pump? i have removed the A/C and have a flowkooler pump. id like to avoid that if at all posible. any other ideas??? thanks in advance, nick

Damn, that sucks....well I hate to say it but you can try to re-tap it if there is enough threads to grab, but if that doesn't work I would think you would have to enlarge it to the next size bolt and then tap it, you would also have to enlarge the holes on the pulley, do all 4 if it comes to that, sorry that's the only thing I can think of.

You might want to heli-coil it. Just break the little tab off at the bottom of the heli-coil and the bolt will pass right thru. That way you only have to drill the stripped hole.
