Steeda Tri-Ax Update
Hey all,
I just finished putting in the TriAx. Man what a difference! I am so happy with it. It takes a bit more muscle to get the gears in but I love how solid it feels. And the shift sounds are to die for! Thanks to everyone for the advice! Next on the list: Exhaust, H-Pipe, Gears... Stay Tuned! -Narsh |
Re: Steeda Tri-Ax Update
Short throw shifter is one of the best mods for driving IMO, nothing like crisp, clean shifts. :D

Re: Steeda Tri-Ax Update
Yep, the only thing that sucks is that I can hear every little noise that the tranny makes.. It makes me nervous to hear all the little crunches and clicks..
Still, it is well worth it! |
Re: Steeda Tri-Ax Update
I saw your other post about the noise...it helps a tad but placing a thin 2-3 mm piece of rubber between the shifter and handle will dampen some of the noise. The handle acts as a "tuning fork". Make sure you adjust the stops correctly by placing a folded piece of paper (or feeler guage) between the bolt and handle. After a month or so, re-torque the whole set-up...JUST A SUGGESTION.
Anyhow, ain't it fun jamming it in second? Congratulations... |
