transmission leak
 

I’m working on restoring my first mustang (65 convertible) and need advice on a transmission leak. I recently removed the speedometer cable but didn’t have the correct replacement. I left the car on ramps for a week until the new cable came in. After it did I came back to find all of my transmission fluid on the garage floor. It previously had no leaks at all. It looks like it’s dripping from the u-joint. Anyone have any advice on where the problem could be?

I would probably check rear output shaft seal mine is leaking too.
Out of all 19 rear wheel drive fords I've owned leak from the output shaft at any point of time. I would check it.
