engine light stuck on
 

I have a 91 mustang 5.0 the problem is the engine light is stuck on,I can't seem to get any codes from it,I did both the koeo and the koer test with the code reader on it and nothing,just curious if any one else has came across this problem.

just unplug the bulb, it will go away :)

considering that,It would be nice to keep it for diagnostics,but the engine runs fine,it seems the dash is screwed up,the tack screws up a bit sometimes too.

could be a loose ground. If the car seems to run fine (doesn't miss, etc) then I wouldn't worry about it.

Thanks,got another question,Do you know if you can run msd on a carbed engine with a 91 distrubtor?

Did you try disconnecting the battery and reconnecting it? Might force the computer to reset itself.

Did you download the ecm and see if you have codes that will trigger it??

Bad EGR will also leave a CEL on as well.

I would disconnect the battery for a minute or two and which should knock out the light.
