Parts advice, please??
My 94 has been reliable for 5 yrs/60k with only oil changes. However, it's time for some much needed maintenance. Problem is I've been out of the auto mix for so long, there have been alot of product changes. I need some info on what everyone is using. This car is now a daily driver only (and sluggish). It's reliable, but not a racer in its old age (149K on odometer), so I don't need the best that $ can buy. I started by installing Bosch platinum plugs today. MSD Super Cond wires, Ford Racing cap and rotor ordered today. Need advice on the following (brands and types): clutch, flywheel (vibrates badly on take off), tranny fluid.
And any advice on where to go from here to wake it back up. Thanks alot |
Re: Parts advice, please??
well thats a good start on waking it back up, you hit the the right things with the cap and rotor, plugs and wires - as for the clutch ...it depends on what you want. i think ford makes a clutch actually if im not mistaken that will hold a little better than the stock one and its still a fair price. when i browse for parts i just go to summitracing.com and there you can browse for parts that are specific to your car

Re: Parts advice, please??
I already have things like fuel filter on my list. I really need input on things that you don't normally replace every 30 - 60K. What about injectors, sensors, bearings, ect...?

Re: Parts advice, please??
if your sensors still work and your bearings dont hum ...i wouldnt worry about them

Re: Parts advice, please??

Re: Parts advice, please??
BG 3 step fuel injection flush kit, coolant flush, p.s flush, brake flush, rear end flush, flush trans. clutch kit-centerforce works great. air filter-k&n, flush engine too, maybe coil too.
