Help !! Need info on painting stripes
 

We are about to paint our 67 mustang and the are to have the stripes on the hood to the trunk. We can not find the details on this, how wide are the stripes, how far apart from each other they are? If anyone knows this info or where it can be found,,,, please let us know.

Are you talking about lemans stripes like I have in my avatar on my car? If so, I found my dimensions in Tony Branda's Catalog. He has a website I think, otherwise I can find them around my garage I am sure.

Just a note, many of the 'stripes' were decals (back in the day) and there are still decal kits out there (if nothing more they will give dimensions)

Mine are painted on the top, and decals on the bottom.

You've obviously had it repainted (no way it looks that good with factory paint :D). Did it come with paint on the top? Or did you have them do that when it was redone?

Mine were painted on top, when I re-did the car. I have the measurements that I can look up for you when I get back from out of state training tomorrow. Keep in mind mine is a 65, so there may be a variance when it comes to a 67. I will look at my old instructions for particulars and see if maybe they cover the 67-68 stangs too. I can tell you from memory the stripes are a little wider at the top of the car then they are at the front or back (hood/trunk).

My side stripes are the decals because when I re-did the car I initially thought I only wanted the top two stripes. After driving it for a few years, I realized I wished I had done the side stripes....so the decals were then put on.
