ohoh, it's that hood clearance question again

Hello all. Sorry my first post is a tech-type question.

I built a 351W EFI car about 6 years ago, and it was written off by a redlight runner 5 years ago. I have decided to rebuild the car.

I fit the intake, an Edlebrock 5.8 lower with a performer RPM upper under the stock hood with HPM 3/4" drop mounts and a little creative hood editing.

I can't rememeber the height of that intake now.

Does anyone know what the height of the Edelbrock intake is, or the difference in height from stock? I can't seem to find it anywhere.

Also, I am looking at using a different intake, maybe a TrickFlow. Does anyone know the height of this intake, or have any experience trying to fit one under a stock hood?

Any and all help is appreciated. Thankls in advance.

were your motor mounts solid, and if so, did you like them? I'm torn on that issue right now. Thanks.

Yes, 3/4" HPM solid drop mounts and I really liked them. I would not hesitate to use them again.
