Donor 460?

Assuming I went to a typical salvage yard, what might be a good source of a 460? A "smog motor" would be fine; I can deck the block and rip off the emissions stuff.

It'll probably be put in an LTD wagon, BTW. http://www.mustangworks.com/msgboard/biggrin.gif

460 eh Best source would be a late 60's early 70's anything all the 460's/ 429's came with the coveted d0ve heads which are the best flowing cast cyl heads on a big block next to the cj/scj "d0ve" is referring to the casting # d0ve isnt the only casting in that family c8oe c9oe d1oe and d2oe, all flowed around the same all the motors from 68-71 made around 475ft/lbs of toque which will be needed if yer putting it into the wagon. after 71 the power # dropped off big time and the motors begame dog like truck motors which make power but nothin spectacular
Glad I could add imput
