NEWBIE: Any thoughts on best approach for winter tires?

Sorry, All, for such a basic question...

Want to maximize the use of my '07 GT 5sp, what winter tires/wheels should I consider, and best Canadian source? ( I live in Windsor, Ontario )

Thanks in advance for your time/replies!

Provided the V6 wheels will clear the GT's brakes, a dedicated snow tire like the Michelin Ice-X on some V6 16" wheels is probably the least expensive and best value. Pick the rims up from a salvage yard, making sure they're the same diameter as your GT wheel/tire combination. You'll want to swap the snow tires/rims back out in the spring.

i used to just use some black steel rims and nokian makes good winter tires also. canadain tire should carry the rims and kal-tire or such should carry nokians and the michelins that unit mentioned.

I don't know how your winters are up there, but in Rochester (just on the other side of Lake Ontario) your best bet is to not even bother and park it. Good Luck
