Exhaust Leak?

Well i installed BBK headers and H-pipe about a week ago, and thought that i had all the Leaks knocked out of it. Heres whats going on. When the car is just sitting, can't really hear a leak, but sometimes a little tick coming from under the car somewhere. While you are driving, when you put a load on the engine like doing 40 in 4th and accelerating, it sounds like one of those old steam locomotives if you can picture it. Is it suppose to sound like that since it is more free flowing now, or is there a leak somewhere?

If you have a leak somewhere along the pipes, you will notice a backfire when you suddenly back off of a hard acceleration. if you are not experiencing this, then it could just be your new sound.

Take care

I had the same problem...It turned out to be a small hole in the little pipe that comes from the smog pump to the exhaust on the passenger side connecting to the catalytic converter..have the local muffler shop check it out and have it plugged. I know it is very annoying, as I said this happened to me too!!! Hope this helps.
