How much is too much, for one fogger nozzle?
How much is too much, for one fogger nozzle injected at the throttle body.
It is a wet system (190lph pump) and will be tuned for the nitrous, because of that I can only have one size shot and I want to go as big as is safely possible, 150-175? too much? |
Re: How much is too much, for one fogger nozzle?
In theory your fresh 306 can and will handle a properly set-up 175 shot. However just remember that the bigger the shot the quicker your motor will go boom with a lean or timing condition.
I have seen guys successfully spray 250 shots on a stock short block. Its all in the tune. Think about it, 99% of the time when a nitrous motor fails there is a hole in the piston due to a bad tune. Very rarely will you see someone split a block. Good luck, |
Re: How much is too much, for one fogger nozzle?
I have been told that 150 should be max to guard against a BIG backfire through the intake as I'm injecting it all through one nozzle and not a plate or into each runner on the intake?
And yes it WILL be tuned for it before I ever hit it!! |

Actually the bigger jets I have are a .064 & .037 which comes out to a 185 shot according to: http://www.coldfusionnitrous.com/calculator.html
185 too much? The next sizes I have after those figure to 132hp so it's either buy some more jets at $9 a piece or go with the 185 shot? What should I do?? I am afraid that may be too big a hit?? |
