i have a 68 with 289 and I want to change the points t HEI... anyone know an easy way to how this is done?

I'd recommend a Pertronix.

I think Davis Unified Ignition (DUI) makes an HEI for your application.

Agreed, Pentronix makes a nice distributor. I have their HEI flamethrower with the coil on top. It does what its supposed to; light the fire.
