Holley Carb help?
I need help choosing what cfm carb i will need.
306 engine E-303 cam gt-40 heads BBK headers 4.10 gears TKO tranny It was a EFI setup but went to carb. It was a very strong engine with EFI but i have changed to a victor jr. intake and not realy sure on the cfm's i'll need to get the most from the engine. May put a small shot of nos later. |

Most will tell you a 600-650 will be just fine and I would agree with that.

Good choice, but not the one I would have made. BUT, either way, plan on LOTS of tuning to get that sucker dialed in. I'm not a big fan of "chokes", but I don't leave the garage until I'm up past 140* either. That's a good carb, and it'll treat you well. If you "listen" to it. It'll tell you what it wants. ;) |

Yeah your right about the tuning. I just hope everything go's smooth.I set everything on motor for a test fit and there is no room for breather will be looking for a hood now. I'll post picks of engine when it's finished.
