do you guys know if 275 40 17 will fit on my 89 gt on my 17x9 cobra r's i want to go with a set of nitto drag radials. i'm thinking i'll have to remove the quad shocks. has anyone else done this?

I've run a 265 on a 17X8 rim with quad shocks removed, fenders rolled, and had no problems. You might be chancing it though, sounds like it might be too close for comfort....

i have 275 40 17 nitto 555 with cobras...i have 3/8 spacers that were like 13 buck from summit and my quad shocks are still in they dont rub it all depends on the backspacing of the rims .

I have seen 275's ran on 01 cobra rims on a fox.
