I think I have found my "power problem"
Last Friday after the races I decided to check the spark plugs and they were white as hell. So I figured I must be having a fuel delivery problem.
I have not yet checked my fuel filter or fuel pump and I am not going to bother with it I am just going to upgrade to a 190LPH Ford Racing pump and a fuel presure regulator. I think that maybe this could be the reason that my car ran slower with the 3.73's than it did with thr 2.73's cause my rpm's stayed up higher with the lower gears causing starvation from the weak stock pump. For those of you that dont know I ran 15.2 with 2.73's and 15.4 with 3.73's. The guy that I bought the car from said that it ran a best of 14.5 @95 when he had it and I have also heard that from others. I dont know maybe the fuel system has been screwed all along since I bought it or maybe he is full of it ------------------ 88 mustang gt convertible bored to 306 BBk equal length headers mac cold air fender kit 3.73 FMS gears cowl hood nitto drag radials ford racing clutch flow masters h-pipe 160* thermostat 16 degrees of timing electric fan off 94' t-bird jacobs electronics cap and wires. Just do the fuel pump, the fuel pressure regulator isn't necessary. The stock fuel pressure will support plenty of power (300hp). Also, how old are your O2 sensors? Sometimes they will cause a car to run lean, although worn ones usually will cause it to be rich.
