Brake Pedal Power VS Manual on 1966

Hi,
I am new to the mustang hobby and would like some help. I just picked up a 66 coupe. The car is a factory power steering and power brake car with an auto and 200 6 cyl. However, the power brake booster and pedal were stolen out of the car while it sat for sale. I have obtained an original booster however, I wanted to know if there was a difference between a manual drum pedal and a power drum pedal--and if so, what it might be. I have seen two different styles. Both look to be the same except for a metal bar welded on top that runs the same way the stop light switch.

Any info or ideas??? Please let me know and thanks!

FYI--I am trying to keep the car as original (ford factory parts as possible) so, I would rather not buy some of the after market brake conversion parts if possible.

Here are pics of the difference I am talking about...

Thank you,
Danny Cox

Im not sure, I'll check on mine, which was a manual brake 6cyl car originally. It will probably be around this weekend.

Here is a picture of mine. I didnt think about it before, but they could certainly be different between an auto and a manual car. I was also looking at the pictures you posted and the one that you can see the rubber cover it says "power brakes". Probably a pretty good chance thats a power brake pedal then ;)

Yes there should be a difference. The manual pedal has a higher fulcrum point for better leverage. When I converted my 68 to power brakes I had to replace the pedal.
