on my 88 gt my hazard flashers work and i can manually use the turn signals, but they will not work by themselves. all of the bulbs light up. any help would be appreciated.

try the flasher its behind the fuse box. Or i guess they are sometimes by the glove box.

the fuse relay behing the fuse box is for the hazards. the one for the directionals is more to the right of the fuse box under the dash. almost under the steering wheel. its in a awkard spot, so have fun!

Id next try the multifunction switch, its the blinker lever. I just had this same problem. I got a used one and it still didnt work. Low and behold the used one had the same issues as my original. Comfused the hell out of me until i tried one more switch.
