well u need a blow off valve ,adjustable waste gate, boost retard, most likely 42 lb injectors.i personally would get a big areomotive external fuel pump . then you should have the car tuned with a custom chip.thats just to start with but it all depends on how fast u wanna go and how much money you have to play with.also u have to have all the oil lines ,tubing,exhaust..a inter cooler is a great idea too

Hi...thanx for the reply...thanx for the heads up in the turbo system components...I another car and its turbo boosted so I am familiar with the components...but what I dont really know was:
injectors:42lbs
fuel pump:aeromotive
computer:chip
ok know the really tricky part how much horsepower can the stock internals handle?

hard to say i have seen a stock bottom end run high tens witch is over 500 hp.i was running high 11s with a stock bottom end around 425 hp.if you are gonna only run 7 psi there shoud be no problem.

I bought the red 93 cobra in Brooklyn NewYork and had to do a lot of things to it since ive bought it. had bent pushrods in it and kinda had a slight tap in it so im fixin to take out the motor and go through it and just wondering if a f 303 cam would work well with a turbo? it has a z cam but does not hit hard at all the car was a sleeper car it would suck up a zo6 vette easy! just wont that hard hiting cam sound!

Did you twin turbos come with built in wastegates? Reason I ask is that alot of those ebay kits come with internal wastegates. Your stock internals will outlive the block. I have seen cars split the block with as little as 350rwhp and have seen others live at 580rwhp. As a general rule keep it to about 480 with a good tune and it should live for a while. I would suggest that you have the heads checked for straightness, run studs and a MLS gasket (fel pro, cometic). You will need a 255 pump, 42 injectors and a boost referenced regulator. As for the computer, a tune is good but not necessary. You can run your timing locked at 19 or 20* depending on the type of fuel you run. Start with 40 psi fuel pressure with the vacuum spout off and go from there. You could also look into the XPI timing lock. It runs normal timing until a desired boost level then locks it from there on out. I wouldn't go with a tune at first because you are going to end up wanting more boost. If you up the boost your tune will need to be redone=$$$.Go to the turboforums.com ever question you can think of has already been answered 100 times.
Here is a video of my car with a single turbo at 9psi first day out with no tune and 7 cylinders (fouled plug). 100% stock motor. MPH was 114.7, 2.01 60'.

The f cam is the best alphabet cam you can buy for a turbo but I wouldn't bother going to all the work to change it out. A f cam has supported over 850hp on a turbo build.
