Copper ? Cometic ? Felpro ?

I been from site to site wanting to know what the best gasket to use nowdays on a 14:1 or better engine....I have ran felpro's 1006 lockwires for years ' but im building a 438 stroker with 14:1 compression ' brodix 201 heads & i wana make sure whats the best gasket to go with...Is it better to stick with copper ? or is it a good swap to change to the cometic's or felpro's ...I already have the wire in the block & it sits up about 10 or 12 thous out of the block and just had the heads rec grouved ' looks like about 6 or 7 thous not checked it yet...I also talked to sce and they said use the new sce gaskets i already have ' that have the silicone already on them & spray a lite cote of copper coat on both sides only if i want to....
What is the best way running these copper gaskets ' to keep them from leaking water? And i was told if i wana swap to the cometic's or felpro's is i could take out the wire in the block and buy some copper wire and put back in it and just flat file it and just leave the grouve in the head r have it took off .....thanks for any help....

Re: Copper ? Cometic ? Felpro ?

Cometic's are extremely reliable and have an outstanding reputation, Felpro has a multi-layered gasket I've heard that is pretty good as well. IMO, I will never use anything but Corteco, personal choice, but also has never failed where others have.
