Throttle Body Installation

I got it all done, everything was easy. The problem I have was setting the voltage on the positioning sensor. How exactly do you do it. I thought the car was running great but then I checked the voltage on it. The voltage read .58 (I know, its supposed to be like .98). I loosened the screws but couldn't spin the top piece. I got the voltage to .630 with the little I could do, but it couldn't go farther. How do I get the voltage to where it needs to be? Maybe I'm doing it wrong.

your have to drill the holes bigger untill you get the correct voltage. drill a little at a time!

Honestly, right where it it is fine. In fact, that's where it's supposed to be. You can drill out the holes to get the voltage higher, but don't go past .95. There is absolutely no noticeable difference beyond .95, except that you start to get dangerously close to 1 volt, at which point your ECM thinks you are no longer at idle, and your idle will suck. Set it to .95, MAX.

Take care

The stock spec on that sensor is 0.5 to 1.0 V. Mine was at 1.04 V and trust me you don't want to go that close to the wall. The car idles funny, stalls out, and has a bunch of other small problems. Keep it the way it is.

Thanks guys, I had drilled it but wasn't sure if you had to do that. I'll probably just end up leaving it.
