cooling problems

After driving for about 50 min on the highway to a near-by town ( runnin around 185 on the highway ) i went to the backroads to just ride around when WOAH! 210 degrees! i was like crap so i pulled over and let her cool down. so while i was doin this i lifted the hood and checked that little reservior on the radiator and BONE DRY! so i filled it up to the line and i decided to go on ( i actually had a car show to get to ). Well it ran about 185-190 the rest of the day and then on the highway about 185. So i dunno what the deal was. i am thinking about getting a new water pump, anyone got any ideas on a brand?

I'd actually stick with the motorcraft water pump. I tend to stay with Ford replacement parts.

As for the cooling problem, I'd keep an eye on it. To me it sounds like a pinhole leak. Your leaking when the system is pressurized. Check all the hoses for white/green residue. Should be kinda like hard water stains.
