will the 70mm th/body give me more power?
whats up guys, 94GT
shorty headers, flows, and pro-chamber h-pipe, 3.73's superchip and cold air induction, and mac u/pullies. will i see a difference if i put the 70mm throttle body? thanx. ------------------ |
If you are running the stock TB, then you will get an improvement!!

On a stock motor you will lose throttle response with a 70mm. Stay with the stock t/b until you are making more power.

The 70 mm t/body would give you more power, but you should consider the 65mm instead, use 70mm's on bigger, or more modified engines. I Would Reccomend The 65mm for you

I have a friend that put a 70mm throttle body on his mustang and he said it killed his low end power and he said he can not feel a difference up higher either.

dont get either till you get heads and intake..i got a car in the 12's now with stock tb and stock intake..

I agree, stay with the stock untill you get heads and cam. Then the 65.

I agree with 89ATI, LX XLR8R, and Skyman.
The 70mm T/B is not going to help your car in peak performance, and it will hurt you significantly in low end torque. Even the 65mm T/B isn't going to do anything for you until you get an intake. With your current mods you really need to work on getting an intake before you get a T/B. Personally, the next mod I'd make if I were you is a better MAF sensor. Then you can focus on your intake, later some head work, and then a cam or at least some roller rockers. The T/B is the last thing you need to be adding, most people don't pick up squat from the larger T/B. |
well then, i guess no t/b for me, thanx guys , i sort of felt that i still wasnt to the t/b changing phase.
i guess i'll just dump a dry kit for now. |
ive got a 94 also,i put on 70mm tb and it runs great with it but i do have a lot of mods,if your not gonna do too much to the motor i would go with 65mm see my mods @ http://hapygas.stangnet.com that might help you out
