All T-5's are "world class". I got a Super Duty "World Class" from Jegs for $1099. I couldn't be more pleased. Yeah direct bolt in also. The super duty has different upgrading parts and is stronger. You might want to get some specs on them though to make sure.

All T-5's in Mustang GT's after 1984 are "world class."
Your stock tranny is rated for 305lb/ft or torqueload. With the 3.35:1 1st gear, they don't get much stronger. The Z spec T-5 obtains most of it's 330lb/ft rating from the 2.95:1 first gear ratio it uses. The other portion is from the tapered roller bearing. If you go with 3.73's, it may be worth it to get the taller 2.95:1 1st gear ratio so 1st gear becomes a little more useable. D&D Performance sells the Z spec for $1049 right now. Good deal on a very nice tranny. I have one. Just like 1BAD89, my tranny is great. |
