95GT Specs

Hi guys, I’m typing from Brazil and it’s my first in this forum! Here we have few units available because Ford just imports them in 94 and 95.
I’m decided to buy a 95 GT until the end of year and I’d like to know all about it.
How I’m beginning I have a lot of doubts, as follows:
a) How 0-60mph can I expect of a stock 95 GT?
b) And miles/gallon?
c) When I read your performance 12.92@107, is it means that you reach 1/4 mile in 12.92’ at 107mph?
Thanks guys,
Driver.

I believe stock, the car was rated at 6.7 seconds 0-60 mph.

I get 20-23 mpg on the street and upto 30 mpg on the open highway.

As soon as you start to step on it these numbers can go down in a hurry http://www.mustangworks.com/msgboard/smile.gif

It means you take 12.92 seconds to drive the 1/4 mile (1320 feet, 0.402336 km, 402.336 m, 4.252786e-014 lighyears, or 15840 inches).

When you cross the finish line you cross at 107 mph.

The 95 stock GT runs the quarter between 14.7 to 14.9 at around 90-91 mph

Thanks!
The majority of mustangs that guys are selling has between 20K-30K miles and looks pretty good. Which are the points that I have to pay attention before I buy my mustang? I’ve heard that the rear suspension is weak and sometimes can break! Is it truth?
I’m thinking to buy: Mustang Red Book 1964 1/2-2000 by Peter C. Sessler. Do you know this book?

No. The rear suspension is not weak. The weakest link is the transmission. Most people get well over 100,000 miles before having any tranny problems. Some go way beyond that.

The car doesn't have any real "weak" areas.

I would expect the trap speed on a stock 94-95GT to be more around the 92-93 range with a 5spd. You can get that up to 100mph pretty quick, and 1/4 mile times into the 13's pretty quick. After that, it's gonna cost you a little more.
