Is there a trick to this?
 
I can't get my car to shift at 4900 rpms from 2nd to 3rd its a auto, I hold it in 1st and shift into 2nd at 4900 rpms and when i try to shift it at 4900 rpms for 3rd the computer takes over.

I think you have to do the 1-2-1 shuffle. I don't know what year they started using the AOD-E or if that even matters at all. Basically, go through first and second like usuall but when your in second throw it back in first so you would be able to hold it in second w/o shifting by itself. Then throw it into D to shift to 3rd. I don't know if it's too healthy for the tranny or not. That's it, that's what I've heard, I don't have an auto so I wouldn't really know so good luck.

I've heard of several people doing the AOD-shuffle, but have never heard of it improving their times consistantly. I seriously doubt it would drop your time a tenth in the 1/4 mile, and I'm sure it isn't too good for your tranny. Have fun...
