For a 75 shot, a reduction of 2 degrees is plenty. If you normally run trouble free at 16 BTDC, retard it to 14.

I'm running 10 degrees for a 125 shot with one heat range colder plugs.
I agree completely with PKRWUD, go with a couple degrees less. Running it at 10 will be fine, but you can try more, just be careful, if it starts to spark knock, then back it off. Otherwise, have fun! |
I ran 15 degrees on motor and spray with a 75 shot. Never a problem.
Spraying 150 I burned a plug with 15 degrees and hosing it after sitting in cruise traffic @ 200 degrees. I have sprayed 150 a lot with 15 degrees while the engine is running cooler though with no problems. ------------------ 1988 Mustang GT 11.8 @ 123 (7/14/01) 1992 BadAzz Wrangler 1993 Explorer See my car at: www.mustangworks.com/cgi-bin/moi-display.cgi?179 |
