Strange or Moser Axels?? Which Differential?
I am planning to buy axels very soon. Here is what I am going to buy-
SVO Stud Kit Auburn Pro C-clip Eliminator 3" Wheel Studs 3:73 gears 50/50 lakewood shocks Bennet Lower control arms I am looking to go deep into the 12's this year. Eventually I want to get into the 10's but that is a new motor away. Which should I buy, I know both are from quality companies. Strange has Induction made and thru race made. Will Induction hardened work for me? Or should I not even worry about it and just buy the Moser? By the Way I want 31 spline axels. Also any ideas on the best Differential unit I would appreciate it. Thanks guys for the help. ------------------ 92 gt, ATI Procharger 9 Psi., P.A. C-4 w 3200 stall, 3:55's, Flowmaster Dumps, Cobra Intake, MSD,Al. Driveshaft, Jeg's Safety Loop, Griffin Al. Radiator, Stock Heads, Cam, Rockers, 12.5 @ 108 on street tires, much more on the way |
I would get the Moser 31-spline 'race' axles.
Plenty strong and durable for a 12-second car and even that (eventual) 10-second machine. The Auburn diffs seem to generate a mixed bag of opinions; some love 'em, some say they rot. I think you could just as well get the stock (Traction-Lok) differential beefed up and use that successfully for now. Cheaper; and rebuildable. |
