Idle problem!

My car has been running fine for the longest time. Yesterday it was fine but this mourning I started it up and it went straight to 1500rpm and stayed there. Now it idles there almost every time, sometimes it will idle down to 850rpm but thats rare.

Does anyone have an idea what it could be?
I'm gonna disconnect the battery, clean the idle-air bypass see if that does anything? maybe it's the MAF or MAP?

Sounds to me like you idle air motor is stuck open.

what are the symptoms for a bad MAF or MAP?

mine is doing the same thing. i ran a code scanner and it said low voltage to mass air sensor. does this mean the mass air meter is bad?
