Pretty uncommon topic - Brakes!

Ok, I got my car running good and now my passenger side brake rotor is toast - AGAIN! This is the second time this rotor has been wasted in a year and a half so I'm really considering new calipers, rotors, and pads. Yeah I know, I could just repair the defective caliper, but I'm ready for my next unexpected mod.

I really like Baer, but man that's some cash. Brembo seems to be another hot brand along with Aerospace Components and Stainless Steel Brakes. I think I will go with Baer but I want to hear from others who have used them and the others mentioned. What are your experiences with these companies, installation of the parts, etc?

Thanks.

Wilwood is another good option, maybe even a little cheaper.

I'll be going the cheap route with Lincoln 73mm calipers, Lincoln master cylinder, and Powerslot rotors. Keeping the stock rears for now (you could convert the rear to discs if you wanted to with the rearend from an SVO or the kit FRPP has). I would vote Baer personally if you wanna spend all that money. They kick *** . Aerospace are more of a "track only" setup the last time I checked. The bigger calipers and better rotors in the front will be good enough for my use. I guess it depends on what you want from the car.

A buddy of mine bought the four piston wilwoods and the rock. Went out to test them out and if I wasn't wearing my seat belt I think I would have gone through the windshield. Those are the only performence brakes I've ever felt though; but they seem to work well.

I'll pipe in from low budget land

It only cost me about $140 to completely rebuild my stock brakes with Auto Zone parts, only my bearings and hoses are stock. The calipers were so cheap $20 each it was a no-brainer. Of course my pulling problem was due to a bad pass side ball joint, but I do like the peace of mind with all new front brakes ( I also did the rears over with new springs and drums too)

Car stops good enough for me, and no problems over 15k miles

Ok, I've decided to just do the caliper upgrade to an 86 SVO with the steel piston, and the matser cylinder from the same car or a 94-98 master cylinder. Anyone else do this yet?
