cutting rear springs

I have eibachs springs, but hate the hight on the rear. Seem like it got highter then before. How do you cut the rear springs? Top or bottom of spring? When they mean 1 coil do you cut it exactly where it ends on top but one coil under. How will this effect the ride?
I was sold the conv. ones instead of the coupe, which I have. So it looks weird.
Thanks in advance

Cutting springs is never a good idea because they are designed to a certain length, but if you really want to, you just cut one coil (360 degrees) off so that the pigtail still points in the same direction.

don't cut your springs! that's a really bad idea. come to think of it.....thats what ricers do!!!! either elave the ride height as-is, or invest in some new springs and sell your eibachs. those ricers you see bouncing down the smooth road? they cut their springs.
