Just ordered American Thunder Catback, now some questions

I am going to do this my self. How high do I need to get the car to do this in my drive way? I am going to barrow a saws all from a friend and make short work of the old stuff. Will the clamps hold till I can get it welded together? My car is a daily driver and I drive a 70 mile round trip 3 to 4 thime a week. Is there anythin that I need to know in doing this? All info is appreciated.

Jack stands will be high enough. I did mine about 2 months ago and the clamps are good enough. Make sure you push the tail pipes in as far as they will go. My clamps came loose once and the pipes hit the frame in the rear, and i broke a u bolt retightening them. Get different u bolts from autoparts store right off the bat, or get lock washers for the ones that come w/ the kit. The washers they send are lame. John

I used band clamps on mine and they've been on there,leak-free, for over 4 years!
and go as high as you can, you'll appreciate the extra room for working under there!
I wish I had a sawzall when I put mine in, I only had hand tools then, and had to cut the stock pipes with a flimsy hack saw!! http://www.mustangworks.com/msgboard/eek.gif
Good luck!

Also, it is not just how high you get your car up, you also need to take the load off the rear suspension in order to get the pipes over the axle. What I did was back my car onto ramps, then jack up the rear frame (using the same locations as changing rear tires). This gave me enough room to get the pipes over the axle.
