Need some on wire palcement for 5" tach with shift ligh.....
 

We are wiring a friends 91 up and we took the pins out of the plug from the tach for the shift light. It is an Autometer Ultra Lite 5" tach w/ shift light. Both wire are black & one is ribbed & one isn't and on the plug there are number's 1 & 2. I need to know which wire goes where,,,,,, Could someone please take a look at theirs' and let me know which wire goes where......Thanks...

I have the autogauge 5" tach with shift lite and i checked and the ribbed wire goes to the #1 plug. I looked at it and there's only one way to plug it in cause of the way the inside of the plug is, it has a notch on the inside.

Thanks lx mike.... I know the plug only goes in one way, but I took the wires out of the plug. We are mounting the shift light away from the tach, and didin't want to drill that big of hole in the dash to fit the plug through, so took the wires out, and forgot to pay attention to placement http://www.mustangworks.com/msgboard/redface.gif .
