Finally a member of the 11 sec club...

Well, I finally did it. I became a member of the 11 sec club. The weather was somewhere in the high 50s low 60s along with a pretty strong head wind ~10 to 20 MPHs. The track conditions were not as good as they have been in the past, mustering only a best 60ft time of 1.67 and worst of 1.92. I had 7 runs total, 12.24, 12.14, 12.15, 12.03, 12.05, 12.32 and my best 11.98 with a 12.00 dial in time. My MPH was down alittle from the past only getting to 111.xx to 113.00. I was pretty happy with my results for the day. All last week I was trying to get some jets for my nitrous system to jet it up to a 100 shot but couldn't find any at local speed shops so I kept it at a 75 shot. Well I thought I'd share my results with all of you.
Thanks

Rick 91GT 10-09-2001 10:38 AM

Hey Congrats Bill!

Im was there Saturday, I won the Heads Up Class I was in B1. We had similar conditions on Staurday, terrible head wind and it was around 60degrees, my mph was about 4-5 off all day. I did manage to go 12.18 @ 108.3 on a 1.64 60ft, really had to heat the ET STREETS to get them to hook. I know if I had the mph like I normally run I would have gotten my first 11..so close still.

When are you planning to head back to a local track? Street Night is at Mason on Saturday?

Andy's car is a nice clean Black vert, he's went 12's before busting the Pressure Plate.

Andy I Guess you'll be swapping all to the notch a few months early? I think it was just the pressure palte the T-5 may be fine, won't really know till you drop it out.

Hey Rick. Congrats on the big win on Saturday. Wish I could have made it then.
Not sure when I'll be running again if any this year.

Take care
