Transmision questions
 
Sup everyone. i have a 94 GT and have blown to hell my trans. i was racing one night and missed 4th (this is rigth when i got the car) and ever since that my 2nd gear has never been the same. when ever i shift fast till will grind and no matter how much you pull it wont go in. i have to do a 2-3 second dely witht eh clutch in then shift then pop the clutch and go. a freind of mine as a 90 GT with a T5. he has his orignal trans that has been FULLY redone to a world class cobra trans. hes wants to sell me it for $500 including bell, a pro5.o shifter and trans. is this a good deal. a rebuild for mine is $650+ becuase we dsont know what shape it is in the inside. thanks guys.

Has it been used, if so how many miles does it have? Ok let's break it down.

New SD T-5: around $1100
PRO. 5.0: around $200
Bell housing: $200?

Grand Total: $1500 give or take a lil.

So I would say $500 is a good deal if it's just been rebuilt and not used. The SD T-5 is a pretty tough tranny if you don't have too much power.
