BBK Jet Coated Headers......

Well after all the replies about what headers are decent, i think i am going to go with the unequal bbk (jet coat)(i have heard that the jet coat looks really nice and stays looking good) for $249 from brothersperformance.com. I figured that i am losing a few HP by using unequal length headers but it will be much easier to change and check plugs when needed. I heard they are a bit easier to install as well. Also, I am going to grab a bbk offroad H pipe for my 1991 aod. It says it bolts right up and is the same size as the stock pipe only at 2.5 inch. Then from there back i am going to bolt up my MAC Flowpath cat back system i bought a few years back.

Any thoughts or ideas on bbk or this setup before i make my purchase?

thanks in advance

Sounds like a good combo.

The unequal length headers will be easier to install. I have a set of BBK equal length headers (Ceramic coated) and they were a PTA to install. However, if you follow the directions and jack-up one side of the engine, they will go in. Just takes some patience. The ceramic coating is nice. I've had mine for 4 years or so with no problems...except that I scratched them up pretty good during the install (tough not too http://www.mustangworks.com/msgboard/biggrin.gif )

Unless you're building a real mean 302, I don't think the unequal lengths will hurt power that much at all.

Good luck,
E

Why not get the best you can get? They are not that hard to install either, but then again I've never installed unequal lengths. =)

I have the un-equal BBK ceramics...love them.. picked up .2 and 2 mph for my combo..
dont think the 2-3 HP is worth the switch to equals.. if you're going to do that, you might as well go long tube...
