CAM help
 
I have accses to 2 cams witch one should i use??? i have no idea what cam does what lowend tork or what??? help

i have a Polished explorer intake 65mm TB, 19lbs injectoers, 75mm Mass Air, pulleys, headers, 2 cat h-pipe, flowmaster cat back, msd 6AL, MSD Blaster coil, fender mount intake, adj fuel regulator, 1/2 plenum spacer

the cams i have are:
motorsport E-cam

in/exa int/exa
220/220 498/498

Crane compucams
int/ext int/exa
214/220 513/529

I think you should use the E cam because it doesnt have a huge lift and with the explorer intake and 19lb injectors you can support it...at least in my mind...many people like using the e-cam witht he stock heads and it does work well with you go with aluminum or performance heads...just my opinoin.

What's the LSA (lobe seperation angle) of the Crane cam? That's a big influence on where you can use your powerband. Assuming it's in the right place, and if low end torque is what you want, I'll have to disagree and go with the Crane. It's got a slightly shorter duration which will give you better throttle response and a little bit more low end. It may be a bit more lift than you need right now, but if you're planning on better heads then it's a good place to start.

I think you should use the FMS E-cam. I have a buddy that is running it and has a stock intake manifold, TB, and injectors, and the car runs like a bear. And it will only get better with improved induction.
