You could buy the switch from ford or a junkyard and wire it to work, it wouldn't be hard at all! http://www.mustangworks.com/msgboard/smile.gif Let us know if you do!

took apart the swich cluster in the car to check if the spot had a swich...yea right...well it didn't have to go to a junk yard and get one or order one somewhere. does any one know if the wireing goes all the way through? i know the plugs are there on the otherend, and there are wires that were pluged in at the blank swich spot. hope this works like i hope.

It'll work. you have the same exact swap as a GT. Plug in your GT switch and install lamps on the other end of the wiring, and it will work just fine.

You may want to search for GT owner complaints about their fog light switch/wires getting too hot. I seem to recall that many GT owners have rewired at least a portion of the circuit to prevent this overheating. Just a thought...

REDLX50 is correct, the fog lights are powered by the low beam circuit and the increased amperage overheats the wiring and switches and can actually melt the switches and cause the headlight circuit breaker to cause the headlights to flicker. I'm going to be re-wiring my fog lights soon where i'll have a new power wire throughout (i'm upgrading to 130Watt fog light bulbs) and have a relay coming off the parking light circuit for the control side and a switch to control the fog lights (needs switch and relay to be activated to turn on). It should be pretty easy to rewire and all it will take is like 14 gauge or 12 gauge wire with a fuse or circuit breaker on the fog light power circuit and the appropriate control devices. This site actually has a technical article about the upgrade that is very good and detailed. Good luck,

Since you have never run those wires, you could setup a relay system straight off, and can use the stock switch and wires. Just setup the relay near the junction of the two wires near the bumper. You will probably need different connectors for the lights you are installing anyways

yea i could set my own relay, and the wireing for that setup is there. BUT. I first want to figure out if the existing wires work for my self so i dont have to string any wires. looking for a gt swich now....

what year is your car? The fog lamp problems only occur in '87/88. Ford fixed the problems in mid'89. If your car is an '89 or newer, install the switch as is and you will have no problems. If it isn't rewire the power supply wire like they are suggesting. Jake
