used tranny, worth it?
i just foung a guy selling a AOD out of at 92 that had 78k miles on it. he converted to a stick and said the AOD ran perfect when he took it out. it has the Stock converter, all the cables, and a B&M shifter for $275. is this a good idea, or am i wasting my money?

Sounds like a decent price for a used one. Have it redone by a good builder and put it in your car, then sell the old one. Don't go to AAMCO!

Any stock AOD isn't worth a crap, especally with 79,000 miles, Best thing for you to do is get a lentech or a level ten or one from transmissioncenter.net these trannys are badass.
