people w/autometer coolant temp gauge--->
Have you ever noticed how much your temp varies between driving normal and driving hard? Does it vary 5-15 degrees for some of you out there?
thanks |
No, and yours shouldn't either, unless you have a cooling system problem.

I have the mechanical gauge, and it does not fluctuate much at all. I see a steady rise up to about 180, then it pretty much stays there. This is regardless of sitting in traffic for awhile or highway driving. (I have a 180 t-stat).
Before I fixed my radiator problem, my temp would rise from about 195 up to almost 220 when sitting in traffic. |
Yeah, that and then some. I run a 180'F thermostat, and it is rock solid on the street. Run 20 minutes on a roadcourse and I would see it get to 225'F before I would have to back off.
After the Griffin radiator install, its now under control to 205'F (or 215'F on a 90F day). http://www.dariusrudis.com/photos/mustang/steering.jpg ------------------ ------------------ Darius Rudis Roadracer: Home built t-arm/panhard suspension powered by an S-trimmed motor :-) http://www.dariusrudis.com/images/mustangindex.jpg My Mustang Page |

Why do you have slicks on the front of your car? You're not going FWD on us, are you?
