won't start after it stalls
 

98 V6 5 speed with approx. 1900 mi. on it. has stalled twice in parking lots in either 1st or reverse. i understand why it stalled, i need to know why it takes several tries over several minutes for it to restart? it does try but nothing seems to happen? does anyone know why?

The engine needs the following to run :
Fuel - is it getting fuel?
Air - is it getting the correct amount of air?
Compression - is there good compression in each cylinder?
Spark - is it getting spark?

These are the first steps in finding what's wrong.
